Radiology.SG is a patient-centric information portal for radiological studies and procedures. We hope to bring you relevant information about different types of studies – be they Xray, barium or other contrast studies, computed tomography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance studies, as well as interventional procedures – what they involve, potential side effects and even prices.

Almost everyone will undergo some form of radiological examination in their life, be it a chest xray for insurance screening, an ultrasound or CT study to investigate some worrying symptoms, even routine mammography for older women. But knowledge of these studies is often lacking. How much radiation is involved in a CT of the brain ? What risk does it entail ? When is that risk acceptable and when is it not? We hope to answer these questions, and more, all in good time.
